The Matching Process

Our staff carefully gets to know both volunteers and the children and youth waiting for a mentor.

Step 1: Potential Match

A potential match is discussed with:
✔ The volunteer mentor
✔ The child or youth
✔ The parent or guardian (where applicable)

Step 2: Introduction Meeting

BBBSPV staff arrange a meeting between the mentor, child or youth, and parent/guardian to get to know one another.

Step 3: The Match Begins!

If everyone feels it’s a good fit, the mentoring relationship officially begins.

Ongoing Support

Our staff remain involved throughout the match, providing support, guidance, and resources to both mentors and families to help ensure a positive and successful experience for everyone involved.
