Opening doors for kids in our community

We’ve been supporting mentoring relationships in the Pembina Valley for 50 years.

There will always be kids waiting, always doors to open, and always a need for support to help young people thrive.

With the right mentor, even kids who grow up facing barriers can unlock their full potential. We’ve witnessed the impact for 50 years.

That means five decades of mentorship, support, and community impact. To honour this milestone, we’ve set a goal to open 50 doors for young people across the Pembina Valley to celebrate this milestone.

Our local BBBS agency here in the Pembina Valley does not have a guaranteed funding source. Each year we work to raise vital dollars to maintain our community and school-based programs and workshops that are delivered to almost 200 young people. We rely on the support of our community to help us facilitate the important work we do – the screening, training, matching, and monitoring it takes to initiate and support each match every year.

We invite you to continue on this journey with us. Our work is far from over. With your continued support and partnership, we will keep going, we will keep growing, and we will keep changing lives for generations to come – one match at a time.
