Chris and Harry were matched in grade 3 and have spent the past 10 years meeting once a week for an hour. Through this time, their friendship grew and they enjoyed hanging out together.
Harry has graduated the program and is doing well in his community.
When I asked them what some of the best memories they have of their time together they both said just hanging out and playing board games together, or shooting hoops in the gym.
In talking to potential mentors, Chris said, “It’s well worth your time and I would recommend it to anyone.” Chris went on, “I really enjoyed seeing Harry grow up, it is great that we could have a long relationship.”
Chris and Harry both said they hope to keep in touch even now that they have graduated from their match.
